SAS Ai, Inc. To help bright, promising and academically strong 8th grade students who come from very poor families get a good high school education at Saint Augustine's School (SAS) by sponsoring them through their 9th and 10th grades of junior high school and 11th and 12th grades of senior high school.

Goals

• Offer 4-year scholarship packages ($540 annually) to the most qualified 8th grade students, based on academic strength and financial need, who plan to enroll at St Augustine High School (SAS).
• Maintain an active presence on the SAS campus with the SAS Ai, Inc. Field Team under the leadership of Albert D Bunoan.
  
• Continually solicit donations and raise funds for the scholarship fund and work on promoting the mission of the organization.
• Reach out to all SAS alumni who live, work, or who may have retired all over the world.
  

Sources of Scholarship Funding

Objectives

• To become the best provider of high quality, 4-year, high school Scholarship assistance to academically strong students who come from poor and needy families.
  
• To optimize the use of modern day technology to promote open communications, to offer a virtual classroom, and to hold meetings.
• To use online technologies to fund-raise, and to reach out to other scholarship sponsors.

SAS Ai's Work

• SAS Ai's first responsibility is to solicit donations to the scholarship fund and to raise awareness to our mission.
  
• Secondly, to plan, implement, and maintain the scholarship program making sure that all financial transactions with SAS Admin are done in a timely, comprehensive and expeditious manner.
• It is a known fact that there is widespread poverty in the Philippines. Our home town of Tagudin in the province of Ilocos Sur is no exception. Jobs are hard to find and often, parents work several jobs to make ends meet. Part of the work of SAS Ai in granting a scholarship package to a qualified and needy applicant is to make sure that the child stands a good chance at completing his or her secondary education.
  
• Our locally based Field Team headed by Albert D Bunoan in addition to overseeing the scholars, screen new applicants, evaluate application forms, conduct interviews, and make student progress reports to the sponsors and to all members of the Board of Trustees.
  

How SAS Ai Uses Sponsor Donations
All of SAS Ai's elected officers, including all members of the Board of Trustees are volunteers and work for free. From the President on down to the Field Team member, no one is financially remunerated. All work is done voluntarily. We are all mostly alumni of St Augustine School dedicated to the betterment, advancement, and well being of the next generation of SAS students.

SAS Ai does not lease or rent work spaces since most of the work is done in people's homes on their personal computers and laptops. SAS Ai uses a small amount of petty cash for office supplies, postage stamps for mailing official correspondence, printer ink, paper, pens, pencils, file folders, envelopes, binders, various and sundry office supplies.
